Council Approves (b)(1) Report

The Council has cancelled the May 16, 2012, meeting at OPM Headquarters. The next meeting will be held on July 18, 2012, at OPM Headquarters.

(b)(1) Pilot Report Sent to President

The Council approved and sent to the President the report on (b)(1) pilot projects across the federal government. E.O. 13522 requires the Council to report to the President recommendations on (b)(1) bargaining after implementing these pilots.
Training

Council Training on Metrics featuring VA-AFGE

The Department of Veterans Affairs and the American Federation of Government Employees jointly developed training on establishing metrics for labor-management forums. The training is now available for all federal employees.

Pre-decisional Involvement Guidance from the Council

At the Council meeting on January 19, 2011, Co-Chairs Berry and Zients released a memorandum encouraging labor and management officials to follow Executive Order 13552’s requirement that they engage in pre-decisional involvement to the fullest extent practicable.
